Kanye West Announces ‘Good Ass Job’ Joint Album With Chance The Rapper

Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Chance The Rapper’s Open Mike event in Chicago Monday night (Sept. 17), and he came with some pleasant news. Yeezy announced that he and Chance The Rapper were indeed working on a new collab album titled Good Ass Job. “Me and Chance working on a new album. It’s called ‘Good Ass Job,'” the 41-year-old told the crowd, sending them into an all-out celebration. Good Ass Jobwas actually supposed to be the name of Yeezy’s fourth album prior to the death of his mother in 2007, which prompted him to craft 808s & Heartbreak.

        West followed up with some personal news regarding his new full-time residence. “I moved back to Chicago and I’m never leaving again,” he declared as fans broke out into several “Kanye” chants.

Additionally, the G.O.O.D. Music CEO is slated to perform as the musical guest on the season 44 opener of Saturday Night Live on Sept. 29. Later Monday (Sept. 17), the Chicago-bred rapper nearly broke the internet when he tweeted out a photo of a clear CD case, à la Yeezus, with an iMessage that read, “YANDHI 9 29 18.”

The possible Yeezus successor could be hinting at the release date for his next project. This would mark the first time in Kanye West’s historic career that he would be dropping a pair of solo albums within a calendar year.

GLOW renewed for a third season, will take the show on the road

It seemed like a pretty sure thing, but given Netflix’s history of cancelling shows in batches with little warning (particularly shows that spend a decent amount on, say, period detail), we were nervously hopeful that GLOW would keep on. After all, anybody who caught the show’s terrific second season would say that there’s nowhere to go but up for the series, which found a much stronger footing as a dramedy with its emphasis on the drama. Given the season’s wide-open conclusion, it’s reassuring to get the news that Netflix has officially renewed the series for a third season. The third season will (mild spoiler alert) see the women of GLOW take the show out of seedy ’80s Los Angeles and on to a nightly revue in Las Vegas. Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin) remain a complicated pairing, Sam (Marc Maron) will look forward to continuing his reparation into a less bottom-feeding kind of filmmaker, and the show will presumably get the kind of facelift that’ll make it bigger than ever before.

We’re sure those 10 Emmy nominations didn’t hurt, but all the same, we’re beyond thrilled to see the show return. In a TV landscape so entrenched in prestige-chasing, aggressively grim series, GLOW has wound up being a pleasant counterpoint to so many of them even when it explores heavier material. Season three doesn’t yet have an airdate, but particularly if the show turns up strong at the Emmys next month, we wouldn’t be surprised if some news emerges about that sooner than later

Creative Arts Emmys: Apple Brings Home First Win for ‘Carpool Karaoke’

Carpool Karaoke was one of Apple’s first forays into original programming. The tech giant also debuted the reality series Planet of the Apps in summer 2017. Since these shows were ordered, Apple has doubled down on original content, hiring Sony TV veterans Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht to oversee worldwide video programming. They have quickly assembled a slate of high-profile, premium TV projects including anthology series Amazing Stories and a Reese Witherspoon-Jennifer Aniston morning television drama.

Carpool Karaoke remains separate from Van Amburg and Erlicht’s television efforts. Because of its music focus, it is seen as additive to the streaming music library that Apple has amassed for its $10-per-month Apple Music streaming service. The series was renewed for a second season in February. Meanwhile, Carpool Karaoke is a regular feature on The Late Late Show, with recent appearances by Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes.

Apple isn’t a complete stranger to the Emmys. The Tim Cook-led company has received several technical awards over the years and also took home a trophy for commercial of the year in 2014 for its “Misunderstood” spot. But this is the first time that Apple is being recognized for original programming.

The Sunday night win completed a trifecta for Corden, who also took home two Emmys on the first night of the Creative Arts Emmys. His Snapchat series James Corden’s Next James Corden scored wins on Saturday night for outstanding actor in a shortform comedy or drama and outstanding shortform comedy or drama series. The British actor and comedian also was nominated for outstanding variety special (pre-recorded) for the Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special and outstanding variety special (live) for his work hosting The Grammys. He also will vie for the outstanding variety talk series honor at the Primetime Emmys alongside fellow nominees Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

The 20 best, worst and most WTF moments of Emmys 2018 — from some awkward awards-show hosts to the marriage proposal heard ‘round the world.

Mondays, right? It’s a rough day to try to do anything, period, and an even rougher day to throw a major awards show. But that didn’t stop NBC from airing the 70th Annual Emmy Awards a day later than is traditional, to make way for Sunday Night Football, the only thing American viewers eat up even more eagerly than hot red-carpet goss.

Whether it was beginning-of-week malaise or something else that was afflicting the ceremony, there’s no denying that this year’s Emmys felt more than a few steps off its game. Hosted by SNL “Weekend Update” co-anchors Michael Che and Colin Jost, the 2018 edition looked and sounded like the mutterings of an exhausted industry — especially in the wake of last year’s fired-up broadcast, presided over by an energetic (and actually funny) Stephen Colbert. And though the ceremony quite literally made a production number out of its commitment to honoring diversity, 22 of 26 Emmys were snatched up by white performers, creators and producers — proof positive that lip service only goes so far.

Top honors this year went to HBO’s Game of Thrones for Outstanding Drama, Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for Comedy and FX’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story for Limited Series. Meanwhile, national treasure/light of our lives Betty White was honored for her decades in the industry, and critical darling The Americans took home a long-awaited pair of statuettes for its final season (Matthew Rhys for Lead Actor in a Drama and showrunners Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields for writing).

But even a surprise marriage proposal — or Leslie Jones’ fabulous opalescent pantsuit — couldn’t do much to liven up a ceremony that seemed to be simply going through the motions. We may still be in the Peak TV era, but this year’s Emmys made us wonder if we’ve started the long downhill climb.

Worst: Michael Che and Colin Jost’s bland hosting job

From the moment they walked out to deliver the opening monologue, Che and Jost looked vaguely uncomfortable, as if someone had just farted and they were standing in the stink-cloud. Their low-key, above-it-all “Weekend Update” formula didn’t translate to the Emmys stage; everything was delivered with an air of bored detachment as they plodded through stilted jokes about the #MeToo movement, the primacy of Netflix and Roseanne Barr’s self-immolation. “With the amazing contributions from everyone in this room tonight, I think we can keep television going for another five, six years tops,” Jost quipped at the end of the intro. It didn’t reallllly sound like a joke. JS

Best: The “We Solved It!” Song

Kate McKinnon and Kenan Thompson took aim at Hollywood’s diversity problem by cheekily announcing “we solved it!” during the spirited opening number of an otherwise largely apolitical ceremony. Of course, the solution mainly amounted to tokenism and self-congratulation, a sly undermining of last night’s boast regarding the most diverse group of nominees in Emmy history. “You see, there were none, and now there’s one,” Thompson said, referring to Killing Eve‘s Sandra Oh, the first woman of Asian descent to be nominated for a lead in a drama series, who sportingly chimed in, “It’s an honor just to be Asian!” But this scathing criticism was delivered like a blow from a velvet hammer, with fan favorites like Titus Burgess, Kristen Bell and Sterling K. Brown shimmying to the beat while lone white man Andy Samberg was sent packing. PR

Best: ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ makes history

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s title heroine would be the first to tell you that being a woman in comedy is frequently a thankless business, but last night’s ceremony proved there are at least a few things that have improved since the 1950s. Amy Sherman-Palladino‘s period piece about housewife-turned-stand-up comedian cleaned up, nabbing five wins including Best Comedy and Best Actress in a Comedy for its uber-talented star, Rachel Brosnahan. Remarkably, Sherman-Palladino became the first woman to net a double Writing and Directing win in Emmy history. (“My panic room’s gonna be so pretty!” she declared, hoisting her twin statuettes.) Though it’s only one season old, Mrs. Maisel came out of the gate a fully-formed spitfire of a show — and it more than earned this freshman sweep. JS

Worst: ‘Atlanta’ is completely shut out

Donald Glover and Co. walked away empty-handed, despite a second season that arguably improved on the first and certainly doubled down on its idiosyncratic, at times surrealist point of view. Brian Tyree Henry could have handily won best supporting actor in a comedy series, especially considering his breakthrough performance in an episode that dealt with the death of his character’s mom (and was inspired by Henry’s real-life loss). And Hiro Murai was a favorite to win for his stylish direction, particularly in “Teddy Perkins,” the much-discussed bottle episode about a disturbed recluse played by Glover in whiteface (a possible nod to Michael Jackson). Worst of all, Atlanta’s shocking shut-out meant that we were deprived the strange spectacle of Glover giving an acceptance speech in character, since Teddy Perkins was sitting right there in the front row. WTF: The Emmys go light on big issues

Ever since the 2016 election rocked the world on its foundations, pretty much every major awards show has worn its politics on its sleeve (or pinned to its lapel, as the case may be). But with a few exceptions — like Ryan Murphy citing hate crime statistics in his American Crime Storyspeech, Evan Rachel Wood rocking a blur ribbon and Rachel Brosnahan encouraging women to vote in the midterms — politics and social issues were not a major point of discussion. The #TimesUp movement, which is currently making major waves in the TV industry, was barely mentioned; diversity, while it was much joked about, was never seriously grappled with. The T-word (you know the one) wasn’t uttered once all night. All of which isn’t to say that awards shows have to get political. But in the wake of Oscars, Golden Globes and past Emmys ceremonies that were charged with moments of awareness, the 2018 ceremony felt a little toothless. Are we all just really tired? JS

Best: That amazing marriage proposal

Outstanding Direction for a Variety Special might sound like a bathroom-break category, but pity anyone who missed Glenn Weiss’ acceptance speech, clearly the best of the night. After his win for helming the Oscars, he opened on a mournful note, missing his mom, who passed away two weeks ago. Then, when he proceeded to surprise his girlfriend Jan Svendsen with a marriage proposal, there couldn’t have been a dry eye in the house. Normally, public proposals are, frankly, tacky — but this was pure, uncomplicated bliss. It shook the somewhat muted audience out of their torpor as the auditorium erupted in shock, applause and wide grins. Best of all, Svendsen accepted. Leave it to the director of the Oscars to figure out a way to blow past his allotted time at the Emmys. PR

Best: ‘The Americans’ enjoys a victorious exit

With the exception of trophies for guest star Margo Martindale, The Americans has been largely overlooked by Emmy voters during the course of its six seasons. It figures that now, after the FX series has taken its final bow, fans have something to celebrate. Welsh actor Matthew Rhys earned some long overdue recognition for his nuanced portrayal of a KGB operative — not an easy feat under all those preposterous wigs. (It would have been great to see Keri Russell win as well, but we’ll take what we can get.) Also, creator Joe Weisberg and executive producer Joel Fields scored an outstanding drama writing win for the show’s stunning, solemn finale, marking a triumphant end to this smart, suspenseful show. Worst: ‘Game of Thrones’ wins big for weak season

Look. We’ll be the first to say that when Game of Thrones is running on all cylinders, full dracarys ahead, it’s one of the most thrilling things on the small screen — a full complement of gut-wrenching dramatics, whizbang action sequences and Queen of Thorns side-eye. But this latest truncated season was D.B. Weiss and David Benioff’s water-cooler fantasy series at its worst, resting on the good faith the show has built up over six previous seasons to trot out a series of episodes that were, frankly, just kind of dumb. So we rolled our eyes a bit when the series nabbed the most Emmy noms this year (22!), and even more when it won Outstanding Drama in a year when there are much more interesting things going on (many of which weren’t even nominated). Even the show’s creators looked nonplussed as they accepted Thrones‘ third win in the category since 2015. Yawn. Wake us up when the ice dragon gets to Winterfell. JS

Best: Michael Che’s ‘Reparations Emmys’

In an attempt to rectify Hollywood’s oversight of black actors and actresses, Che pre-taped a clever segment in which he handed out Reparations Emmys, allowing him to catch up, however briefly, with The Jeffersons‘ Marla Gibbs, A Different World‘s Kadeem Hardison and Family Matters‘ Jaleel White. If anything, this bit should have gone on longer: White trotting out Urkel’s “did I do that?” catchphrase only just scratched the surface of our collective nostalgia. But perhaps the best part was Che griping to Superior Donuts star Jermaine Fowler that nobody from The Wire ever received an Emmy while Bryan Cranston won five for Breaking Bad. The camera then pans to Cranston, within earshot, looking suitably stricken … like somebody who just learned that Wallace is out of pocket. PR

WTF: Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen’s oddball Emmy experts

What appeared at first to be clumsy and overly rehearsed instead turned into one of the evening’s most delightful recurring skits as so-called Emmy experts Rudolph and Armisen failed to furnish hosts Jost and Che with any credible information whatsoever. The Forever stars fully committed to the bit, from their deadpan facial expressions to the random, erroneous trivia that came so naturally to them that it hardly seemed scripted. An off-kilter, laugh-out-loud highlight was Armisen referring to the statue as “Mrs. Johnson” while Rudolph insisted that she’s holding aloft her “famous ball of ribbons.” Only these seasoned SNL alums could pull off a joke so slight and seemingly bizarre, which makes you wonder what they could do with an entire ceremony. Best: ‘Godless’ is Netflix’s unexpected triumph

Writer-director Scott Frank’s subversive feminist Western wasn’t favored to win big, but the seven-episode Netflix miniseries, executive produced by Steven Soderbergh, stayed faithful to genre tradition and often featured dialogue that bordered on pure frontier poetry. The best of it was delivered by the under-sung Merritt Wever: As the de facto protector of an all-female mining town, her courageous wiseass is easily the best part of Godless. Jeff Daniels, who also won in the supporting actor category for his Bible-thumping villain, is a distant second. PR

Worst: ‘SNL’ beats out more worthy winners

Last night’s ceremony was produced by Lorne Michaels, hosted by Saturday Night Live head writers Jost and Che and featured a steady rotation of current cast members and alums — so was there any doubt the award for outstanding variety sketch series would go to the NBC mainstay? No, but it still felt like a shameless gimme. A better case could be made for Drunk History or At Home With Amy Sedaris, both of which are pioneering new, hilarious formats. Meanwhile, SNL struggles for consistency, reduced to its best sketches but rarely executing a satisfying episode from start to finish. And let’s be honest: “Weekend Update” hosts Jost and Che are simply no Seth and Amy. PR

Best: Henry Winkler wins his first Emmy

Despite being an indelible part of pop culture, Winkler never took home a trophy for his iconic portrayal of the Fonz on Happy Days. How fitting, then, that after 43 years in the business and five previous nominations, he should be singled out for best supporting actor in a comedy for his role as the deeply committed acting coach on HBO’s Barry. The actor was no less enthusiastic than his character Gene Cousineau while accepting the award, repeating advice he received early in his career: “If you stay at the table long enough, the chips come to you.” His class act continued as he heartily thanked series creators Bill Hader and Alec Berg, and while it was disappointing to see Brian Tyree Henry lose, how can we not give Winkler the thumbs up, aaaaay? WTF: Jeff Daniels goes on a horse rant

Plenty of actors talk about their costars at length in their speeches — but Jeff Daniels took it to a whole other level. When he accepted the Supporting Actor in a Limited Series statuette for his turn in Netflix western Godless, the actor didn’t care so much about making sure to thank all the right people as he did about … talking about horse stuff? Yeah, we were also confused. He spent most of his time at the podium descanting on all things equine, encouraging young actors not to lie about their horseback-riding abilities at auditions and recalling his harrowing experience with his steed Apollo. “He was Jeff Bridges’ horse on True Grit, and I felt he was making unfair comparisons,” Daniels quipped. Apollo apparently threw him three times, breaking his wrist in the process, to which the actor responded by hoisting his Emmy with the now-healed joint. Living well is the best revenge, we suppose. Best: ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ gets a long-awaited win

The Reality Competition Series category has historically been one of the Emmys’ dullest, with the same few shows (The Amazing Race, The Voiceand Top Chef) winning year after year since its inception in 2003. It’s about damn time that the statuette went to VH1’s (formerly Logo’s) genuinely groundbreaking RuPaul’s Drag Race, after a whopping 10 seasons and counting on the air. Reality shows aren’t generally a space known for enacting anything like positive change, but with its fabulously inventive queens and policy of radical acceptance, the show has proven itself to be a force for genuine good in the world — not to mention a plain ol’ good time. RuPaul accepted the award “on behalf of the 140 drag queens we have released into the wild,” and, we’d like to think, the generation of LGBTQ kids who have 140 high-profile role models. Can we get an amen? JS

WTF: The awkwardly timed stage patter

In general, last night’s presenters were a parade of enjoyable, if occasionally odd, couplings. Their stage patter was pithy and amusing: Tracy Morgan informed Jimmy Kimmel that he was only rooting for black nominees, like Millie Bobby Brown. Samantha Bee told Taraji P. Henson that she’s watching a “shocking dystopian drama called ‘the news.’” Broad City‘s Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, Dirty John‘s Eric Bana and Connie Britton — these are all lovable people that we like watching. The only problem was that their scripted banter followed the roll call of nominees. On one hand, the clipped pace kept the ceremony moving as celebrities didn’t waste time struggling to pronounce one another’s names correctly (for the most part). Yet the format was awkward, forcing a weird delay of the big announcement. PR

Best: Claire Foy wins for ‘The Crown’

For our money, there wasn’t a more fierce category this year than Lead Actress in a Drama. The field boasted past winners Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), repeat nominees Keri Russell (The Americans) and Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld), plus fierce category newcomer Sandra Oh (Killing Eve). And while pretty much any of these heavy hitters deserved the win, we’re quite chuffed it went to Claire Foy for her nuanced, luminescent star turn in Netflix’s The Crown. All depth and no flash, Queen Elizabeth II isn’t an easy role to take on — but Foy’s performance is painterly in its precision. “I dedicate this to the next cast,” she said in her speech, passing the royal vestments on to Elizabeth-in-the-wings Olivia Colman. To which we say: Long live the Queen. JS

Best: Regina King’s heartfelt speech

“Oooh! Regina King!” presenter Leslie Jones exclaimed with delight when she announced the winner for Lead Actress in a Limited Series in Netflix’s Seven Seconds. King may already have two Supporting Actress Emmys under her belt (for American Crime in 2015 and 2016), but that didn’t stop her from being endearingly shocked and flustered over her win for her searing turn in Veena Sud’s crime drama. Hell, there was one part where Will Ferrell ran up to the mic in slow motion just to … kill time, we guess? Blame Che and Jost’s lethargic hosting, blame some less-than-inspiring nominees, blame Monday, blame a television industry rocked by scandals and exhausted by its own self-mythologizing. Whatever it was, it’s clear that the Emmys needs a bracing shot to the heart before it’s too late. And that starts with shaking up its own clearly tired formula. JS

Kanye West & Lil Pump’s ‘I Love It’ Hits No. 1 On Streaming Songs Chart, Debuts in Hot 100’s Top 10

The song is West’s second No. 1 debut on the chart this year, following ‘All Mine.’ For the second time in 2018, Kanye Westdebuts atop Billboard’s Streaming Songschart – and this time, he brings Lil Pump along.
“I Love It,” West’s new collaboration with Lil Pump, debuts at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart dated Sept. 22. The song gathered 46.6 million streams in the week ending Sept. 13, according to Nielsen Music. The track is West’s second No. 1 on the chart, following the No. 1 debut of “All Mine” in June 2018. “Mine” was one of seven songs from Ye, West’s Billboard 200-topping album that was released in June. “Love” is not part of Ye and is currently a standalone single.

Meanwhile, the song is Lil Pump’s first to rule the list; “Gucci Gang,” his first track to make the Streaming Songs chart, peaked at No. 2 last November. The track’s surge to No. 1 is thanks in part to its viral music video, released Sept. 7. Indeed, of the song’s 46.6 million streams, 54 percent are from video clicks. The video sparked its own #ILoveItChallenge, which also drew viewers to the song and clip toward the end of the tracking week. The challenge depicts participants dancing along to the song in blocky costumes or clothes that resemble those worn by the rappers in the clip.That said, “I Love It” still succeeds on on-demand audio services, ruling the On-Demand Streaming Songs chart with 21.3 million streams from on-demand audio players.Coupled with 17,000 first-week sales and some early airplay for the song, “I Love It” debuts at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s West’s highest debut since “Heartless” in November 2008 (No. 4) and is his 17th top 10 total, and it’s Lil Pump’s first top 10 debut.

Lana Del Rey revela el título de su próximo disco y estrena canción de 9 minutos y medio, ‘Venice Bitch

Tras publicar la semana pasada ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’, Lana Del Rey estrena la segunda canción que había prometido para el 18 de septiembre, ‘Venice Bitch’, de nuevo producida por Jack Antonoff.

Aunque la noticia aquí es la duración del tema, 9 minutos y 36 segundos, constituyendo naturalmente la canción oficial más larga de la carrera de Del Rey. Se trata de una dulce balada llena de guitarras distorsionadas y también cuerdas, que en torno al minuto 5 empieza a desahogarse en una serie de improvisaciones melódicas y de guitarra eléctrica y sintetizador analógico.

En una entrevista con Zane Lowe, la cantante ha asegurado que su equipo se quedó a cuadros cuando les comentó que este iba a ser el primer single de su disco. “Se llama ‘Venice Bitch’ y dura 10 minutos. ¿Por qué nos haces esto? ¿No puedes hacer una canción pop normal de 3 minutos?”, a lo que la cantante contestó: “bueno, es el final del verano y algunas personas simplemente quieren conducir durante 10 minutos y perderse en guitarras eléctricas”.

Además, la cantante ha revelado en esta misma entrevista que su próximo álbum, del que se extraen ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’ y ‘Venice Bitch’ y que se espera para principios de 2019, se titula ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’. Desde hace unos años corrió el rumor de que Bert y Ernie, conocidos en América Latina como Beto y Enrique, eran más que compañeros. Que tenían una relación, vaya. Y aunque eso había sido solo eso, simples habladurías entre los fans, ahora la verdad ha quedado al descubierto gracias a el exescritor de Plaza Sésamo, Mark Saltzman, quien confirmó que ambos personajes eran más que amigos.. 

En una entrevista para el sitio web de estilo de vida LGBTQ+, Queerty, Saltzman destapó información que, de haberlo hecho en su momento, quizá hubiera provocado una gran polémica alrededor del programa infantil.

“Recuerdo una vez que en una columna de The San Francisco Chronicle, un niño volteó con su mamá y le preguntó, ‘¿Beto y Enrique son amantes?’ Y eso, viniendo de un niño de preescolar, fue divertido. Así que cuando escribía de Beto y Enrique, cuando pensaba en ellos, eran pareja. No tenía otra forma de contextualizarlos“, comentó.

Mark Saltzman confesó que la relación de Beto y Enrique estaba inspirada en su propia relación con su ex pareja Arnold Glassman, con quien estuvo más de 20 años, hasta que él falleció en 2003.

“Yo era más como Enrique, el bromista y caótico. Mientras que Arnold, como editor de cine, era ordenado. Llevé esa dinámica a los personajes”, dijo.

Beto y Enrique son fuertes íconos de la cultura pop, tanto así que llegaron a ser la portada de The New Yorker en julio de 2013… cuando el rumor sobre su homosexualidad se desató, ya que la imagen mostraba a los personajes acurrucados frente al televisor, mientras esperaban la decisión del Tribunal Supremo de Estados Unidos a favor de los matrimonios homosexuales.

Luego de este revuelo, los fans lanzaron una petición a través de la plataforma change.org, en donde pedían que la relación de Beto y Enrique llegara hasta su matrimonio en pantalla. Sin embargo, los productores del programa pronto emitieron un comunicado en donde explicaban que, al ser marionetas, ninguno de los personajes tenía orientación sexual, aún si actuaban como humanos.

Pero la postura de Plaza Sésamo es inamovible

Después de estas declaraciones, los amos y señores de las marionetas educativas lanzaron un statement, en el que reafirman su postura, diciendo que “Beto y Enrique son mejores amigos, y que como son marionetas, no pueden tener orientación sexual“, lo que podría resultar un poco incogruente para algunos, ya que… ¿y la historia de la Rana René y Peggy, qué onda? Ellos tienen una CLARA orientación sexual, y también son marionetas.

Uno de los premios al que Cardi B está nominada es al mejor artista nuevo (EFE).

Los Ángeles – La rapera de origen latino Cardi B obtuvo ocho nominaciones, las mismas que el rapero canadiense Drake, para la 46 edición de los premios American Music Awards, informó la organización en un comunicado de prensa.Por detrás de Cardi B y Drake se situaron Ed Sheeran y Post Malone, con seis menciones por cabeza, y la cantante hispana Camila Cabello, que recibió cinco candidaturas.

Cardi B y Camila Cabello se disputarán el premio al mejor artista nuevo, un apartado en el que se verán las caras con Khalid, Dua Lipa y XXXTentacion.

Por su parte, la categoría reina de mejor artista contará como aspirantes con Drake, Imagine Dragons, Post Malone, Ed Sheeran y TaylorSwift.

Los nominados a los American Music Awards se basan en los registros de ventas de álbumes y canciones digitales, emisiones de radio y en “streaming” (emisión en línea) medidos por la publicación Billboard y sus socios, Nielsen Music y Next Big Sound.

En cambio, los ganadores de estos reconocimientos son elegidos por los fans.

These Are Apple’s New iPhones

Apple today in California officially announced the “iPhone Xs” and “iPhone Xs Max,” the latest iPhone models coming this year. The company confirmed that both models will come in Space Gray, Silver, and Gold color options, with Gold being the new addition to the iPhone Xs lineup this year.

The iPhone Xs models have the same design as the iPhone X from 2017, with an edge-to-edge OLED display, greatly reduced bezels, and a “notch” that houses the front-facing TrueDepth Camera system. The iPhone Xs is the direct iPhone X successor and measures in at 5.8 inches, while the XS Max is Apple’s biggest iPhone yet at 6.5 inches.

Apple says that the Xs lineup has the most advanced iPhone features ever seen, thanks to a new A12 Bionic chip, which is the industry’s first 7-nanometer chip. A12 Bionic includes a next-generation Neural Engine, powering a new and improved Face ID on the iPhone Xs and Xs Max, making the biometric security feature faster than iPhone X.

The new iPhones have the highest pixel density of any Apple device, coming in 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch sizes. The Super Retina displays have a custom OLED design and support Dolby Vision and HDR10, meaning that you can watch 4K content on the devices. On iPhone Xs Max, you’ll be able to see over 3 million pixels in videos, movies, and games.

As Apple points out, the iPhone Xs Max is the largest display it has ever built in an iPhone, but the overall size of the device is similar to the iPhone 8 Plus. The screen includes the most durable glass ever in a smartphone with improved scratch resistance, the band around the side retains the iPhone X’s stainless steel finish, and the back is made out of glass as well to enable wireless charging.

Both models are rated to IP68 water resistance for up to 2 meters for 30 minutes of submergence, meaning that the devices are protected against everyday spills and dips.

In terms of the processor, Apple’s A12 Bionic features a six-core fusion architecture with two performance cores and four efficiency cores, as well as a four-core GPU, video encoder, Signal Processor, and more. All of this is as much as 50 percent faster and more efficient than last year’s iPhone X, enabling new experiences in games, photography, video editing, and more.

Battery life is 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X on the iPhone Xs, while the Xs Max offers battery life that lasts an hour and a half longer than iPhone X.

The camera on the iPhone Xs includes advanced depth segmentation, Smart HDR, advanced bokeh quality in Portrait mode photos, and dynamic depth of field that you can adjust after you take a photo. The 12-megapixel dual camera system features dual optical image stabilization with 2x optical zoom, while a new sensor is twice as fast.

In videos, the Xs family features larger pixels and a faster sensor to enable improved low-light performance and video stabilization. With the four built-in mics, you can also record stereo sound to get the most out of video recordings.

The iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max will be available in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities, and in Space Gray, Silver, and Gold. The iPhone Xs will start at $999 in 64GB, while the iPhone Xs Max will start at $1,099 in 64GB. You’ll be able to pre-order the smartphones on Friday, September 14, ahead of launch on Friday, September 21 in more than 30 countries and territories.

Carrie Underwood is bringing people together with her new music video “Love Wins,” released on Tuesday (Sept. 11) — the second single from her forthcoming album Cry Pretty, due out on this Friday. Attempting to provide a voice of reason in recent turbulent times, “Love Wins” is an emphatic, hopeful reminder that despite of our differences, we are all the same.

The video begins with a hopeless-looking group of people walking on a road in a post-apocalyptical setting as Underwood, in a goddess-like orange dress, emotionally leans into the track’s sentimental lyrics, “Sirens screaming down the avenue/ Just another story on the evening news/ Politics and prejudice/ How the hell it’d ever come to this?/ When everybody’s gotta pick a side/ It don’t matter if you’re wrong or right.”

Contrasting with the blue skies behind her, Underwood looks radiant in her silk dress as she approaches the country’s critical political moment — touching on themes of immigration and violence, while offering optimistic advice. The video then shifts perspective as the group of people, now a community, rejoice in their newfound land while Underwood, now wearing a white long-sleeve butterfly gown and a face full of colorful make-up, joyfully sings to the crowd. As the loud clapping drums follow her powerful voice, the party turns into a vibrant celebration with colored powder being thrown everywhere, all thanks to the power of love and unity.
